Biography
I was brought up in a small town near Kolkata in India and studied Chemistry at Presidency College and University of Calcutta. I completed my PhD in 2013 from Arizona State University in the USA where I studied biomimetic chemistry of [FeFe]-hydrogenases in the group of Prof. Anne Jones. I subsequently moved across the pond to accept a postdoc position in Dr. Vincent Artero's group in France at CEA Grenoble where I worked on artificial hydrogenases, and molecular catalysts for carbon dioxide reduction. In 2016, I received a two-year Wenner-Gren Fellowship to develop new metal-organic frameworks for electrocatalytic applications at Uppsala University with Prof. Sascha Ott. I subsequently joined Prof. Erwin Reisner's group at University of Cambridge as a Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellow to work on hybrid photocatalysts and photocathodes for carbon dixoide reduction. Since March 2020, I have begun my independent career as a senior lecturer at University of Lincoln, School of Chemistry.
